Ancora donates $1.00 for every pound sold of our critically acclaimed Rwanda A1 Gikongoro Bufcafe coffee. The money helps buy self-powered Freeplay Lifeline radios for Rwanda’s coffee farmers.
A Long Partnership
Ancora is one of the very first roasters in America to purchase and market specialty coffee produced in Rwanda, a country devastated by genocide in 1994. It was a natural partnership for Ancora to team with the Coffee Lifeline Project and the Freeplay Foundation to help that nation's isolated coffee farmers. The wind-up radios are powered by the sun and provide vital weather, agricultural, political and health news to families living in remote, rural areas having no electricity. The radios are a true 'lifeline' to the world and also provide invaluable health and educational programming. To date, Ancora has helped send more than 150 Lifeline radios to Rwanda.
Porchlight Blend is designed to help keep on the lights! We donate $1.00 for every pound sold to a Madison organization that provides amazing services to Dane County, Wisconsin's homeless community.
Porchlight is a non-profit providing emergency shelter, food, employment services, counseling, and affordable transitional and permanent housing to an ever-growing population of homeless citizens. Its primary mission is to meet the needs of homeless households through services designed to foster independence and the transition into permanent housing and employment.
HIV/AIDS is an illness that knows no boundaries inflicting misery around the world in poor, coffee-producing nations and closer to home in all our communities. Ancora’s Red Ribbon Blend was crafted exclusively in support of the AIDS Network of Madison, Wisconsin. Ancora donate $1.00 for every pound sold to help fund the AIDS Network’s vital efforts in HIV/AIDS care and prevention. Every cup of this exceptional coffee helps in the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
